The Versatility of IP Rated Panel PCs

The rugged toughness of an IP panel PC doesn’t come at the cost of functionality. You’ll be able to do everything you can with a standard PC via a unit which is the size of a monitor – smaller if you need it to be. You get standard features like USB and LAN, and also more legacy interfaces such as serial (RS-232/422/485) The units themselves can usually be panel or VESA mounted, which means that there are few places where you can’t get it installed and working its magic. Touchscreen operation maximises accessibility and convenience and, to put it simply, the IP panel PC can survive where a normal PC wouldn’t be expected to last– backed up and guaranteed by our standard 5 year warranty.

Why so Tough?

The rugged, hard wearing specs of our IP panel PCs are based on the lessons we’ve learned over more than 35 years in the industry. Each unit is rated for IP (Ingress Protection), which is a standardised measure of the degree to which it is sealed tight against dust, moisture and liquids – exactly the kind of contamination that stops standard PCs operating in difficult conditions. Keeping Cool

Another feature enabling IP panel PCs to operate in the harshest environments is the way in which they regulate temperature. A standard PC will use a fan to cool down the internal systems, but a moving part of this kind could struggle in an environment likely to be subject to excessive dust, vibrations, shocks and wide temperature fluctuations. Instead, industrial IP panel PCs utilise heatsink technology in the form of a passive heat exchanger which regulates the temperature no matter how hostile the environment. Put simply – our units keep their cool.

Our fully IP rated panel PCs offer the ultimate in rugged but versatile touch screen computing solutions. The IP rating for our fully enclosed stainless steel units go as high as IP69K – the 9K referring to units which can be cleaned with high pressure steam jets without water being able to ingress. Hardened glass and fanless cooling add to the longevity and durability of the units, even in the harshest environments, while different screen sizes, aspect ratios and resolutions mean you’ll find a solution perfectly suited to your requirements. Their stainless steel construction is a must for food and chemical environments to prevent contamination.

Semi Industrial Front IP Rated Panel PCs

Our semi-industrial front rated IP panel PCs offer a lightweight and sleek all-in-one solution for less harsh but still industrial environments requiring robust and durable touch screen technology. They are VESA mounted and come with the usual USB, LAN, and serial connections, as well as HDMI for dual screen support.
