Form Factor
PC-104 are SBCs that are built to a set specification which includes the 90 x 96mm footprint as well as a 104-pin male and female connector. These connectors allow multiple PC-104 cards to be stacked on top of each other for high levels of expandable I/O. For example, you may have a PC-104 processor card, with multiple serial, LAN, and USB I/O cards in a stack. Having a PC-104 stacked system allows for huge flexibility, whilst still remaining compact in size.
Processors
DSL’s PC-104 board offerings include a range of processors consisting of the Vortex DX2, Vortex DX3 and Intel x5-E8000. The Vortex offerings allow for legacy support of applications running on operating systems such as MS-DOS, WES 2009, and WES 7. For customers wanting to modernise their systems and applications, the Intel offering is an ideal solution enabling the use of Windows 10 OS, whilst still using an ISA bus.
